A place to call home
A peaceful cottage and a welcoming community, where residents can feel secure and valued.
WELCOME TO OUR VILLAGE OF PEACE
A home, a helping hand, and a life with dignity for people affected by leprosy.
At Shanthigramam, compassion is part of everyday life. Since 1980, our community in Karigiri has offered shelter, care, and companionship to those who need it.

A home for today.
Hope for every tomorrow.
A small community.
A lasting commitment.
There is comfort in community.MORE THAN A SHELTER
Shanthigramam means “village of peace”. That is what we strive to be, every day.
For older people living with the lasting effects of leprosy, the need for support can continue long after treatment. Our home offers a place of safety, companionship, and care.
Set among trees beside the Schieffelin Institute of Health – Research & Leprosy Centre in Karigiri, our cottages bring people together in a community built on compassion.
